County Administrative Board of Skåne is hiring Facility Managers

The County Administrative Board of Skåne is a government authority at the regional level responsible for state administration in the county. We work to ensure that national goals are implemented in the region based on local conditions. Within our assignments, we provide advice, permits, and supervision, as well as plans and strategies. We manage natural areas and distribute financial support. We collaborate with stakeholders throughout the county.

We have approximately 600 employees and offices in Malmö and Kristianstad.

Description

The County Administrative Board is looking for at least one facility manager for a seasonal position in the nature conservation unit of the Department of Nature and Water.

Your workplace will be at our office in Skäralid. The employment is a seasonal position until November 30. Start date in March or as agreed. Working hours according to an agreed schedule; both weekends and weekdays may be applicable.

Söderåsen National Park is located in northwestern Skåne and is a forest-dominated national park with significant biological values, as well as more than 50 km of trails and several rest areas. The national park and its nature attract up to half a million visitors annually, which places high demands on facilities, service, and information. The national park management is responsible for the maintenance of land and outdoor facilities, such as rest areas and hiking trails, to make visitors' experiences as good as possible. Responsibilities

Here you will have the opportunity to work in a dramatic and beautiful landscape that attracts many visitors and evokes emotions. You want to facilitate others' discovery of nature and appreciate meeting other people.

As a facility manager at Söderåsen National Park, you will work with the following tasks:

• Rest area maintenance (tables and benches, barbecue areas, waste stations, toilet buildings, grass clearing, and information materials)
• Cleaning (emptying bins, picking up litter, cleaning toilets and shelters)
• Trail maintenance (including signage, bridges, ramps, boardwalks, trimming vegetation)
• Supervision and maintenance of information boards and signs
• Supervision regarding compliance with regulations

Some nature conservation maintenance may be included in the position, such as participating in mowing and clearing invasive species. You may also need to relieve your colleagues at the nature center's information desk. Solo work may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has experience working in high-traffic areas. You have knowledge of cleaning, ongoing maintenance, and simple repairs of outdoor recreation facilities. A B driver's license is required.

As a person, you are practical, service-oriented, and proactive while having a sense of order and can work independently, even in unforeseen circumstances. In your role as a seasonal employee, you will meet many people. Therefore, it is essential that you are good at collaborating and feel comfortable communicating with both colleagues and visitors. It is advantageous if you also have a brush cutter license, chainsaw license, and/or tractor license.

Security Classification

The County Administrative Board has an important coordinating role during societal disturbances, and therefore we have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. Some of our positions are security classified and may also involve military placement at the authority, which means that a security review must be conducted before a hiring decision is made. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
